Our New Year’s Ranch horse course! Ride in any one of our individual five-day sessions, or participate in all four of our five-day sessions.
About Our Training System
You will be introduced to our proven training system, which has four course levels:
- Freedom Course – Level One
- Awareness Course – Level Two
- Movement Course – Level Three
- Horseman Course – Level Four
All four levels of our Mentor Series Training System course, include:
- Four individual classes of Round Penning
- Four individual classes of Ground School
- Four individual Classes of Mounted Work
- Four individual Classes of Mounted Refined
There are sixteen individual classes total.
Our proven Universal Horsemanship Mentor Series Training System is non-breed & non-discipline specific. Western or English, our goal is for you to trust and communicate with your equine partner, excelling in any discipline you choose.
Our Universal Horsemanship Mentor Series Training System requires less time and puts less stress on the horse because we teach the horse handler to speak the horse’s language. You will be safer and your horse will respond much more fully and reliably with training based on communication.
This approach to horsemanship is within easy reach of every horse owner. It’s the heart of the intensive Reis Ranch “Mentor Series” curriculum.
We offer Universal Horsemanship Mentor Series Training System Levels Courses throughout the year.
Learn all tasks presented and be tested and endorsed in all Four Course Levels and sixteen classes.
This is also your opportunity to become a Reis Ranch Professional Endorsed Instructor.
Meet Dennis Reis
Dennis Reis has been riding and training horses for most of his life. He has been living at and holding clinics at Reis Ranch for over 40 years. He has literally worked with 1000’s of horses and humans not just at his home but across the United States, internationally and on TV.

Out of town students:
Men’s and Women’s bunk rooms are available at an additional cost.
